Une passion pour les petits fruits

At the end of the last decade, / Over the last three decades, the McIsaacs have developed a passion for an old family tradition: create wines using wild berries.

After four years of hard work, the recipe for the Ricaneux, an apéritif wine skillfully elaborated from selected varieties of strawberries and raspberries, was finally ready.

Eventually, the acquisition of a "Producteur Artisan" permit marked the beginning of a long love story for this aperitif with a suggestive name.

From then on, a creative adventure based on proven traditional processes is launched to transform wild berries into a variety of top quality products created to please food lovers, epicureans and connoisseurs: Apéritifs, fine liquors, vinegars, and other delicacies.

This land provides a combination of favorable elements essential for the culture of wild berries: type of soil, sunlight, rain and snow conditions.

The balance between these elements is responsible for the flavors and fragrances of the fruits harvested: raspberries, strawberries, jostaberries, blackberries, serviceberries, chokeberries, (black chokeberry), elderberries, and other wild berries still to discover.

From the start, The Ricaneux opened its doors to visitors who wish to learn how the products are created, sample the different products or to roam across the fields. Each year, over 10,000 visitors respond to this invitation.
